Facilities • Capital Projects • Program Management • Capital Strategy
Stringfield Building & Developments, LLC helps government and institutional clients operate facilities, execute capital programs, manage complex initiatives and make disciplined capital decisions.
SBD supports agencies, institutions and prime contractors where facilities, construction, assets, operations and capital intersect. The capabilities below combine SBD corporate experience with the qualifications its leadership brings from prior executive, federal-contractor, government and private-sector roles.
Acquisition & Transaction Advisory | Federal Capture & Proposal Management | Business Development | Operational Improvement | Real Estate & Asset Strategy
We bring the rigor of large public-sector portfolios without the layers of a large bureaucracy.
Since its founding, SBD has deployed and managed capital across operating businesses and real estate, with direct responsibility for underwriting, financing, acquisitions, asset management and investment performance.
John Stringfield is an entrepreneur, former U.S. Army officer, attorney and executive with experience building businesses and leading complex organizations, capital programs, real estate investments and mission-critical operations across the private and public sectors.
In senior executive leadership at one of the nation’s largest public housing authorities, he led Capital Programs and Real Estate Development across a $2B+ real estate portfolio, with responsibility spanning major capital projects, operating performance, contractors, budgets and stakeholder coordination.
His experience also includes executive leadership within a nearly $1B national enterprise, with responsibility spanning institutional facilities-services growth, complex contracting, pricing and operating economics, acquisition strategy, and the evaluation and structuring of strategic transactions.
He later served as President of a U.S. Treasury-certified community development entity, securing a $55 million New Markets Tax Credit allocation and helping deploy more than $47 million into community-serving projects. His leadership experience also includes securing $88 million in energy capital funding, capital planning, financial analysis and coordination across public, private and community-development funding sources.
A former Army combat officer, he led approximately 120 personnel and more than 100 combat missions in Iraq and was awarded the Bronze Star. He is licensed to practice law in Maryland and the District of Columbia.
SBD’s leadership bench also includes 13+ years of federal and public-sector consulting and growth experience supporting agencies including CMS, CDC, NIH, HRSA, ONC and IHS.
That experience includes leadership of teams of 50+ staff, $40M+ in federal consulting portfolio growth, capture and proposal management, technical assistance and training, business development, and Shipley-trained proposal leadership—strengthening SBD’s ability to understand federal buyers, teaming environments and procurement expectations.
SBD is organized to pursue facilities support, capital project leadership, program management and capital strategy opportunities directly and through strategic teaming relationships.
Whether you need facilities support, capital project leadership, federal program management, capture and proposal support, business development and growth strategy, or disciplined capital strategy, SBD brings owner-level accountability, experienced leadership and execution discipline to complex assignments.
We welcome conversations with federal, state and local agencies, institutional clients, prime contractors, developers and strategic teaming partners seeking experienced small-business capacity and leadership.
